This series, ‘A Newsreel History of the Third Reich’, includes unique footage plundered by Russian Troops in 1945. Compiled as it is from German newsreels which were made under the influence of Goebbels' Ministry of Propaganda, these are by no means accurate histories but allow unique insight into how the period leading up to and including WW2 was presented to the German people.

Volume 20 deals with the final year of the war, 1945. It covers events on all the German fronts including: Western Front - Allied supply convoys attacked in the Channel, V2 rockets on their way to London; Eastern Front - fierce tank and infantry battles around the River Danube in Hungary; Home Front - Goebbels calls on all German people to fight to the bitter end for Hitler and the Fatherland.
